The objective was to design a professional and engaging postcard for a law firm while adhering to established brand guidelines. The challenge lay in integrating a large amount of legal text and contact information without cluttering the layout, while incorporating a custom drawing that felt cohesive with a corporate identity.
Illustration Process
The artwork was originally hand-drawn and shaded using colored pencils to capture organic texture and detail. The physical drawing was then digitized and processed in Adobe Photoshop, where I enhanced the colors and cleaned the line work to align with the firm's professional aesthetic. To maintain brand consistency, the final illustration was color-graded to match the Summerall Law primary palette.
Layout & Print Specs
The postcard was designed with a double-sided layout optimized for direct mail.
A clean grid-based layout was utilized to establish a clear visual hierarchy. By applying the brand's specific typography and color palette to both the text and the custom illustration, the final piece feels approachable while maintaining the professionalism required in the legal sector.
